Hi,
I'm trying to create new (image)directories with the admin tool but every time I try to do that, the error : Can't write to folder, please check the permissions.
I've checked the permissions of the folder and they are 777.
Even when I try to create a directory in the upload folder with FTP, I get permission denied. Very strange
Also I can't delete files in the upload folder.
Please help me
Error creating new directory

Re: Error creating new directory
Please talk to your hoster and ask them to reset the permissions so you can delete the directories.
Then please try 0.8-beta5, we've fixed the creation permissions for directories there.
Regards,
Garvin

unfortunately this doesn't work. I de-installed everything and installed the beta 5 version and it still has the same problem... When I try to create a directory with the admin tool, the message :
Can't write to the folder "test", please check permissions.
When you create a new directory with ftp in the upload folder, it apears in the folder manager admin tool, but you can't upload pictures in it. Very strange...

This simply means your permissions are wrong in the upload directory. Set them to 777, and if you can't do that, please ask your system administrator do set the FTP account properly for you.
