Comments bug

Ok this is getting me pretty upset. Im pretty new to Serendipity but not to wemastering. I have my main site up at Http://www.exidous.com which seems to work for the most part, cant get the media manager to accept any media but i think that has to do with IIS6. Back to the problem, my buddie is going overseas to china for 5 months and i wanted to host his blog so he has a place to imput his adventure. its hosted under my main site here: http://www.exidous.com/james My problem is that comments work under my main site but not his site. You can try to post a comment to his first entry and it goes to a blank page. I have been stumped for days trying to figure this out. It works on my main site but not his. Any ideas?

Hi!

A blank page usually means fatal PHP errors, so you should check the PHP and/or IIS webserver logfiles.

It might be related to firewalling and the comment interface doing some Checkups. You could try to remove the 'Spamblock' plugin from James' Blog, as this is the piece of code that does anti-spam checking which might fail due to network connections on your IIS.

ill check the logs, i deleted the spamblock and that didnt work. maybe the spamblock form the main site? Ill check the logs and get back to you.

it had to do something with the template. I switched to a different template and it worked. 3 days later and it was as simple as a click of the mouse.
