Podcast doesn't work in IE

Post by hudson-valley-dad »

The podcast feature is great! (though I would like to use a different player) but I can only get it to work in Mozilla not IE 6. The player looks totally different in IE and does not buffer or play the mp3.

Also is there a way to get rid of or change the link that displays "uploads/test.mp3"? I would rather it say ""Download" or something useful.

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

Hm, I believe because of some ActiveX patents the IE cannot play them like the mozilla player. Maybe if you download and use a different embed-player and put it into the plugin. I myself don't use podcasting, so I don't know which other players are around.

Yes, depending on how you built in the podcasting stuff you either change the link in your entry, or you edit the entries.tpl file to put something different in where you output the custom property field for the file.
