mod_rewrite Issues

Post by baseballdude_ »

I've recently installed s9y on a GoDaddy shared server without any problems. It's set up at http://www.badtechs.com.

When I change the settings to use mod_rewrite it won't work. mod_rewrite is set up to work on the server, I am sure. I've got the site structured to work on one deluxe shared account with several websites that already use mod_rewrite, including one other s9y installation.

Do you have any clue what could be causing the mod_rewrite to not work?

Thanks in advance,
Dan

Hi!

Can you describe what won't work? Do you get error messages?

On some installations you can edit the .htaccess file and remove the "DirectoryIndex" option or the "RewriteBase" option to get it to work.

Garvin

By not working, I meant I was receiving 404 errors when clicking on links and such.

However, it seems time was the answer, because when I switched it back to mod_rewrite today, all is well. I won't question it...:)

Thanks for your help!
