Ping o matic!

Post by rj »

Are there any more up to date pings for this to put in the plug in string box?
Like for DIGG, REDDIT, and STUMBLE UPON. Or do those not accept these kind of pings?

Hi!

If you can provide the URLs to ping, we can include them. But I believe that automatted pinging is dead, and services rely on user interaction and robot crawling instead.

So do you think that the pings to google, yahoo, technorati that are already submitting on each article SAVE are doing more bad than good?

Hi!

I personally always only pinged the Ping-o-matic service, which then pinged other services.

For me, the bots do all the indexing work. I also never was the kind of guy that submitted his URL to 3000 indexing services. :)
