Coming soon: Rework of my themes

Post by lordcoffee »

Hi!

In the last few months I had a lot todo at work so I couldn't work on my themes. All my themes are not working very well because I had not that much knowledge of themeing.

Now that I have enough time for working on that, I decided to make a total rework of all my templates from the beginning. These Themes are:

 Glossy white
 Blix
 GreenMile
 and not yet finished translucency

This will take a bit of time I know but I want to let you know that I didn't forget them.

Greetings, Lordcoffee.

Update:

I had a lot to do at work but now I had a bit of time and can say that the totaly reworked theme "translucency" is close to be finished. Maybe it'll take another 2 weeks but I think that's O.K. Here's a preview:

Thanks for any Ideas!

O! M! G!

LordCoffee, you've really outdone yourself this time. I liked the original blue-and-blue translucency theme, but this one is awesome, too. It looks fantastic!

Any chance you'll provide various color schemes with this theme?

Thanks! A lot of!

@judebert: This Theme is supporting three coloursets. The blue one (not exactly the same that you remember), this (red) one and another one (I'm still working on the colores).

Update:

I think I'm near to a final version. For testers here's a zip-file:
translucency.zip

and here you can see it in action:
translucency in action

It has now two colorsets (red and blue) and another one is at work.

Thanks for c&c,
Lordcoffee

@stm999999999: Yes! I get a little bit inspired by the LCARS-System of TNG. My first Theme I've planed was a LCARS Theme. Maybe now I can create one :-)

Wow, it's thin. Is the background image on the entries stretchable, or is it fixed width? If I increase the width, will I need to supply new images?

@judebert: Then you'll need new images, sorry :-( But that's a good idea to implement for the template options. How much width would you prefer for the content? (I could work on this on friday).

Umm... all of it? I know it's not fashionable right now, but I prefer dynamic-width pages that use the available real estate.

To get that, I'd need to split up the template a lot, though. I didn't realize the entire page was a single giant image. The only other thing I'm worried about are the rounded corner boxes in the footers. They are single images; that could break if you get a multiple-line footer. (For instance, if the findmore plugin is installed, or the entry has too many categories.)

I'd say, don't worry about making it bigger. You've done a fantastic job, and my preferences are not the same as the majority of the public anyway.
