Accessed Denied to PEAR.php

Hi, I'm fairly new to using serendipity but I havn't been able to find a solution to my problem so far.

I'm attempting to get an extertnal RSS feed to display on a side bar. I attempted using "Remote RSS/OPML-Blogroll Feed" and the "RSS aggregator"

When ever i use either of these solutions i get the following error:

Permission denied
Notice: Permission denied in /home/u1/shawnclx/blog/html/bundled-libs/PEAR.php on line 848
Permission denied

any clues on how to get around this?

Hi!

Sadly this error indicates that your webserver could be firewalled and blocked to receive data from foreign pages.

Are you able to perform trackbacks or use the Spartacus plugin? If those two also don't work, then a firewalling of your webserver is most likely, and there is no way for you to "communicate" with the outer world. You could contact your webprovider to ask him if this is intentionally the case, and if it can be bend in your favor.
