.htaccess file

Post by bjmiller1 »

I need to delete my .htaccess file because of this:
If you instead see a "HTTP 500" error screen, this means that your Web Server did not allow Serendipity to create custom ".htaccess" directives. In this case, you can just delete the file ".htaccess".
But I can't seem to find the .htaccess file to delete it. Where can i find it? :?

thanks for any help you can share! :)

Hi!

Some FTP editors hide files that start with a ".dot". I've had good expierence with SmartFTP which shows these files, so try a different FTP client!

Thanks! I'll try that. I thought it might be that, but I wasn't seeing the file on my computer either and i've been able to see .htaccess files on it before. Will it be in the main directory (/serendipity/.htaccess) or in a sub directory? I guess i'll find out when i try another FTP.

Thanks again! :D
