Moblog seems working but shows nothing

Post by FF »

Hya,

I followed the instructions on http://board.s9y.org/viewtopic.php?p=32948#32948 to get moblogging at my serendipity-log.

Mailed a file to a dedicated gmail-account and tried to fetch it externally.

This output was generated on screen:

Code: Select all

POPfetcher v1.17 @ Sun Mar 25 22:09:35 CEST 2007

Number of messages extracted from your mailbox: 1
All messages are still in your mailbox

From: "Jeroen Heijmans"
Subject: Fwd: Test

MESSAGE PART -- Found attachment named: DSC00200.JPG
Wrote attachment into file named: DSC00200.JPG
Published new blog entry with id: 59
Checked the directory:

Code: Select all

]# ls
DSC00200.JPG DSC00200.serendipityThumb.JPG
Checked the log at http://www.ff.fm/hummeltje/ and the moblog-entry is empty. Checked the entry itself and indeed it is empty, no image linked anywhere.

Any hints?

Hi!

This might be a problem with how your text was added to the email. I don't know if posting without any text is supported within the plugin, it currently searches for text to insert anything to an entry, including the image...?

Regards,
Garvin

I send a new picture with text today.
It arrived nicely at my moblog, but without the picture in the entry.

The mail subject became entry subject.
The text was there, right in the message.
The picture was saved in the directory.
BUT there was no picture entry in the message itself.

I edited the posting and selected the image from the media-library and this worked. The image is shown now (http://www.ff.fm/hummeltje/)

It looks like there is something missing between saving and linking?

Could it be a setting in Popfetcher?
Blog flag : YES
Use plaintext attachments as entry body? : NO
Strip advertisements? : YES

Or is it something in the message which withholds serendipity from linking?
This is the message:

Code: Select all

Hi!

Hm, to reproduce this could you store the full email (without the 'snip') somewhere? Or send me that file to garvin at s9y dot org?

Best regards,
Garvin

Thank you.

Enabled 'Use plain text attachements as entry body'.

How small can it be :)
