In what regard do you think you have the same problem as discussed in this thread? To me it seems something different.
How did you proceed your upgrade? Did you do anything special with the "deployment" directory? It seems you didn't properly upload your files and maybe misplaced some files in different directories than they're meant to be.

actually Garvin, I am not sure that it is really related at all other than the symptoms. An older version has also failed even though I haven't upgraded it. I get the same error when I try to install a fresh copy in a new directory, too..
However, I managed to get my hosting provider to do a new install to a new directory and it seems to have cleared the problem... go figure. I was down for 4 days and they were telling me it was a coding problem...
