Also, is there some way to display a message for the user to the effect of "requires version # of XXXXXXXX plugin if they are not using the most current version, perhaps on the manage styles page when they are choosing other template options?

You could do that with extensive config.inc.php magic, but I don't think it's worth the effort and impact on config.inc.php filesize

Erm, I usually give a message like that using info.txt ..?

Of course, this could be extended to display the version numbers for the plugins also, but since it's going to need s9y 1.2 anyway ... but I'll make a note to have a requirements section in the bulletproof docs.

Hi!

YL: You are right. Info.txt would be a good place for this. We would need to move the plugin checks then to core s9y and that would make it complicated for me (instead of the template author *g*) to add support for that. But I keep it in mind for 2.0

Owen: Well...don't expect 1.2 to be released before June or July this year. We still have some things that take longer (OpenID) that are vital to 1.2.
