Hi,
I wanted to change some of my entries, when I was clicking on "Edit Entry" on the adminscreen, everything disappeared. This is everything thats left:
------------------------------------------------
Serendipity Administration Suite
Logged in as admin (Administrator)
* Frontpage
o Back to Weblog
o Logout
Welcome back, XXX
------------------------------------------------
Even if I log in and out nothing happens, it stays exactly like this, until I reinstall serendipity completely.
Can anyone help me, I'm pretty sure it's just some minor error in the db or something.
Thanks
JSky

Me too
Same thing happened to me too. I was setting up groups and categories and bang suddenly all I have is the minimal content as described by jskywalker.
Any ideas why?

Sorted
Ok, mischief managed.
I had been adjusting group memberships and had clicked on another group to add my admin user to it, forgetting to hold down Ctrl to make it additive. This meant (I think) that my user level instantly went to that of the group I was adding which was non-admin. So the program intelligently said 'hey, what's this under-privileged nerd doing in in the admin section? Begone, foul fiend!' and removed all the admin-specific links.
Happily I had kept my first admin level user untouched so I was able to login with that and search for the problem then edit the user and re-assign admin status. Otherwise I guess reinstalling would be required.
Hope that helps.

Hi!
As for the user management resetting, please search this forum for "no_create" - it should yield postings with the same trouble, and how it can be fixed.

reinstalling helped
Well I reinstalled everything, and added my entries again via phpmyAdmin so now it works again.
