install ok but no access to login page and no theme

Post by angelina »

Hi !

:? Sorry to come again with questions, but I can't find the solution neither my colleague.
I checked URL rewriting as suggested in the post of someone else "You'Ve enabled URL rewriting" but is not enabled, nothing changes.
Also there's no theme on the blog...
Please could you have a look?

I tried a few days to install Serendipity in my server it was easy, no htaccess problem and it works properly (with Garvin help for the accents! Thanks again Garvin) :D
I wonder if isn't a problem with the server (with this server I had to delete the htaccess file)
Thanks a lot for your attention,

Angelina

Hi!

Which theme did you enable for your serendipity installation?

It seems your URL http://www.interface3.be/serendipity2/i ... dipity.css does not return the stylesheet that it should; that usually only happens if your selected template directory is not available.

HTH,
Garvin

Hi garvin,

I tried many themes, the last left was the Mozilla Tribute, now it's the Serendipity v3.0, after the installation the default theme didn't appear.
From the administration panel I can go "Back to weblog" but from the blog I can't reach the "Open administration" page...
May be we have to take another server?
Thanks !

Hi!

Hm, that's really strange. It seems your server has a problem to properly put the $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] variable so that serendipity can read it.

If you manually go to serendipity_admin.php into your configuration, how are the path settings there? (HTTP path, URL to blog etc.) A misconfiguration of one of those paths might lead to that problem...

Regards,
Garvin

Hi Garvin,

In the Configuration - Paths- Full path I see:
/users/3/web/00/00/51/58/88/serendipity2/
The URL to blog is:
http://www.interface3.be/serendipity2/

When I swich the Blog to french some options of configuration look weird like:
PERMISSION_FORBIDDEN_ENABLE
PERMISSION_FORBIDDEN_ENABLE_DESC instead of the translation of "Enable Plugin ACL for usergroups?" Well, I think the server messed up!

We are trying to see with the server support if there's any problem.
I'll keep you informed...
Thanks again!

Angelina

Hi!

If you see missing translations, that might be because the serendipity_lang_fr.inc.php file was not completely uploaded?
