Appearance in Firefox inconsistant

Post by DrSpirograph »

Hi,
I've just started using Serendipity, really good tool, wish I'd found it sooner.
I'm having some trouble with the appearance of my site in Firefox under linux (not sure about Mac or Win browsers, but it works fine in Konqueror):

I've customised the theme somewhat, but it worked fine when I installed it on my local Apache2 server on my laptop, and I still can't replicate the problem there. It only occurs on my hosting service (godaddy)

If you will view it with Firefox for the first time, the fonts will probably seem too large (as if you'd bumped up the fontsize in your browser two times or so) and the layout will be ugly as a result. But then if you hit refresh, the fonts are normal (about the same as what you see on this forum).

I've tried flushing the cache in firefox, but the problem remains - I've checked the style sheets (using firefox's web developer toolkit to show me the CSS it's using), but in both cases Firefox reports an identical stylesheet.

If anyone could help me figure out what's going on I'd appreciate it.

Hi

i've just taken a look in FF1.5 (mac) and Safari - they look identical and I can't see anything wrong.

Maybe a stupid question but it's not just the font size settings in Firefox is it?

I thought so at first too, but I haven't messed with the settings, and it flips back and forth fairly regularly in the same Firefox window without me having to do anything but reload the page.

That's good to know, maybe it's just me, or maybe it's specific to Firefox under Ubuntu.

Thanks for the quick response.[/quote]
