Sidebar problem after upgrade

Post by tchirou »

Hi again Gentlemen,

After solving my "Disable URL rewriting" problem, I decided to upgrade to 1.1.

I Saved my database and my whole serendipity folder. Then I copied the folders and files from the 1.1 zip on my server, keeping my .htaccess and config_local.inc files.

I logged. It told me that I could upgrade. I clicked. Well, everything happened fine... EXCEPT : my right sidebar (the only one) was below the main column. You can check it at www {dot} akeow {dot} com (I just have removed the .htaccess file). And when I go to the plugin configuration panel, I can't move the plugin to any columns. I disabled javascript and then reactivated it, but it didn't work.

If someone has an idea, please let me know.

EDIT : I got back to v 1.0.1, but I still had this problem. After a few tries, Everything came back, except for the "Research" plugin. The box has too big width, and it stays below the entries. I disabled this plugin.

Hi!

Hm, your URL comes wiht a password protection now?

On 1.1 you need to have your browser with activated javascript, then you can use drag and drop to move plugins around?

Best regards,
Garvin

Hi,

Yep I put the password back. For the moment, it works with 1.0.1 so... I had all javascript options activated : I mean the boxes from the security tab of Internet options, right ?

I have only two columns: the centered one and the right one. But I checked it today with a friend's computer with a 1024x768 resolution and () the right one is below the centered one. I never checked it before with that res so I don't know if it is a new problem.

I use Serendipty 3.0 template made by carl. I don't think it is normal having only one column in a 1024 res with that template.

I just removed the password protection if you want to take a look at it.

Thanks again,

Cyril

Hi,

Ok it is public now. I think I found the problem : the v3.1 template. When I changed to v3.0, it was okay. I decreased the size of the pictures and videos and it seems to work fine by now, even in 1024 res.

Can you check it out please ?

Thanks

Hi!

Hm, the 3.1 template should be a work-in-progress, did you download it manually?

The template seems to work now properly! :)

Best regards,
Garvin
