Small Banner for "Powered By Serendipity" Unoffici

Post by TKS »

I wanted to reflect the cool new look of S9y with my small "Powered by serendipity" sidebar...so that's exactly what I did.

I hope the devs don't mind it...if so, I'll take it down and put it back with the old one.

I just thought this would make things look nice :D

Hi!

Hey, that's a very pretty small banner! I'll check back with the other developers to see if we should use this as the default banner for upcoming versions, if you'd like that?

The only thing that might be changed is that the two leftmost logo-circles look a bit cut off, so that it seems as if the logo starts with the orange dots, and the pixels on the left are some kind of "motion blur"...?

Thanks for your contribution,
Garvin

Garvin,

I've updated the lil' icon ;)

I paid special attention to preserve the colorwheel (is that what it is? I'm assuming so...then again, it could be a flower...whatever it may be, it looks professional :D)

New version. I've also repaired the older version as well so it should be updated at the top of the thread.

I love it, and I'm now using it on my site! Thanks TKS

Now that I see it on my site I think the logo is quite blurry, and I think maybe this image needs to be made from the original sourcefiles to preserve its sharpness and color, what do you think Garvin?

If needs be, I could manually clean it up. But I agree, the source files would be much easier to deal with :D

Whatever became of this proposed icon/logo? Adopted? Revised? Abandoned?

Nothing...

It was swept under the rug. I never got the source files, thus, I couldn't clean it up.

Hi!

Sorry, I didn't quite follow up to it. Which source files did you need?

Martin Jacobsen only has the proper source vector files of the logo and he's not too eager on giving them out for public use, so I could try to get you two into touch to make it work? TKS, should I contact Martin and ask him to get in touch to you via email?

Best regards,
Garvin

I would personally love to see an update to this graphic, so I am bumping this topic. Not sure if TKS is still around or not, but would love input from all parties that could move TKS's proposed revisions along.

I'm still around :)

I wanted to get some SVG's for this but it looks as though they've already made the powered by icons in the same spirit as I made my originals so I'm not worried :)

TKS - which icon is your design? The basic "serendipity" on white is certainly in wide circulation, but I was referring to your interpretation here:

Yep...thats the one :)

I did that whilst s9y 1.0 was in development. I thought an icon that was based on the new design of the homepage would be cool...so I made a 'chicklet' type icon for displaying on our blogs.
