multiple category filter doesn't work with start page ???

[I'm hoping you'll tell me that I've just configured my blog ( http://uureading.org/cblog/) incorrectly, and that it's not a bug.]

I can't get the multiple category filter (where you select the categories you're interested in and hit "Go") to work if I've designated a static page as my frontpage. If I take this designation off, it works fine; if I select "make this page my frontpage" (or something like that) on any static page, then the "Choose-Categories-and-Go" doesn't work - it just refreshes with the frontpage - regardless of where I am in the blog.

I've tried all kinds of options - deleting the static pages and starting over, uninstalling and reinstalling the category and the 2 static page plugins.... I'm out of ideas.

I believe this bug has been fixed with the recent Serendipity version 1.1, can you please try that?
