Popfetcher & SSL POP login

Post by gmcle454 »

I'm trying to use Gmail for the pop fetcher plugin, but keep getting a time-out error. There is no SSL option for popfetcher (which is required for Gmail POP access). Is there a work-around? Or do I have another configuration problem?

Use the Option "POP3 port" and set it to 995.
AFAIK there's no explicit SSL-Option.

That's what I thought would work, but even with changing the port number, it still times out.

Sorry, I've never used Google Mail for that. I can just say, that it works with GMX.

Hi!

Note that you can only use SSL connections, AFAIK, if your PHP has SSL support compiled in.

hi this might help somebody!

if you want gmail to work, in the "mail server" field, type in "smtp.gmail.com"

Also make sure you have your "POP3 port" set to 995
