Simple html counter or Karma plugin

Hi

I want to use a simple html snippet for a counter and don't understand where to include it. Or - much better - there seems to exist a plugin (Karma), but I cannot find this in event plugins, because there are several plugins with similar name.

Can anyone tell me how to find the karma plugin and a short description or link how to include/install this?

ok, I just explored serendipity_event_karma plugin is already present in /plugins/ directory.

I'm just a beginner here - how can I activate this for my site?

To install plugins, check out this documentation from the main site: http://www.s9y.org/45.html#A6

The Karma plugin can be a little confusing. If you just want a counter, you'd probably be happier with inserting your HTML into your sidebar. For that, install the "HTML Nugget" sidebar plugin, then configure it and add your HTML snippet.

thanks for advice, in the meantime I found how to activate the karma plugin - but I have to play around with it a little bit.

And for html counter, I added HTMLBlock plugin which works well.
