Hiya how are you? im just having this little problem, iv been using serendipity now for over a year, its all been going fine just recently iv been trying to install some new Event Plugins i logged in as usual through admin
clicked on
Configure Plugins:
scroll down to Event Plugins:
and select the link 'Click here to install a new event plugin'
now normally i used to get all these lists of different Event plugin but i dont get this anymore
instead i get this message:
Trying to open URL package_event_en.xml...
Fetched 214562 bytes from already existing file on your server. Saving file as /usr/local/psa/home/ mywebsitename/httpdocs/blog/templates_c/package_event_en.xml...
can some please tell me where im going wrong on this have i missed somthing
how do i install new Event Plugins?

Hi!
If that message is the last one you get, chances are that your webserver has a fatal error, usually by exceeding the RAM limit.
s9y plugins take up RAM, and if your serveronly allows a maximum amount of RAM, a script might be halted in the process because it allocates too much. The RAM usage depends on the amount of event plugins you have installed; if you have installed many, it might just be one too much.
Try uninstalling some of the plugins (if possible), or investigate your webserver error-logfile to see if this is realy the cause?

Yes, checking the PHP error logs should yield the cause of that.
What mirror servers did you configure in the spartacus plugin?
Another way of adding plugins is todownload ZIP filesfromhttp://spartacus.s9y.org and then unzip that to your FTP serverinto the "plugins" directory... In that case though you might need to first delete thespartacus plugin, since that seems to be the one causing thefatal error for you!
