Any plans for Membership system being coded ?

Hi,

Currently, if a new members wants to register we as admins should eb creating a new user. Just wondering, if there are any plan to implement a membership system for anyone to register.

They will be registering as normal users and the, if the admin wants to give them mor privileges, he/she can do so from the admin panel. Also, if theose who have privileges, they can also be allowed to post enw entries.

Anything like this on agenda ?

Does that plugin work for the latest CVS snapshots ??? Hope it works or atleast the concerned deveoper i willing to help us make it work with the latest versions.

The plugin should even work with Serendipity 0.7.1...
