disallow user comments

Hi all,

first i want to thank the developer team for their great job with serendipity!
my question is:

is it possible to disallow user comments at all?

(the allow comments checkbox is sometimes not used by authors although comments are unwanted)

There is no such thing to disallow comments at all.

However you can set the Default (allow comments yes/no) in Personal Configuration, so that the "allow comments" checkbox is always unchecked for each entry. Then you can only selectively enable comments for certain entries.

The second way is to edit your entries.tpl Template file and drop the whole comment stuff completely.
