Upgrading to the latest 0.8 alpha..need help !

Hi,

I have overwritten all the files using the new and latest 0.8 alpha....however, when i go and set myd style to default, i get the following warning in my admin panel ..

Warning: Your current template is using a deprecated template method, you are advised to update if possible

And when i load myb log, i get teh following error message...

Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in /home/auction/public_html/serendipity_functions.inc.php on line 1385

How can i resolve this.

I primarily upgraded to the latest version to make use of the separated html aspect, so that i can customise all the pages to what I want using html and not just changing the CSS.

I need help.

Please read the guidlines for upgrading to 0.8 - since 0.8 is not released yet, there are a few things to take care of:
