andreas09 template released

Post by carl_galloway »

I have released another Andreas Viklund template today, but I haven't written up a blog entry with full details yet. My templates are all available from here.

Hi Carl!

Would you allow me to add that to Spartacus?

Best regards,
Garvin

Hi guys,

glad you like it, its been kicking around in my unfinished projects for so long it just had to be done.

Garvin, I'm not sure how up-to-date Spartacus is with my templates, I'm sorry to say I was having so many problems with cvs that I ended up uninstalling the program. Probably my lack of understanding but... so cutting the long story short, yeah, please do add this to spartacus, also I think

andreas08
soccer2006
1024px
be nice
reflection
softened cells

aren't the latest versions on spartacus if you have time to update them as well? Is there any way you can add a template submission form to spartacus that allows us to submit a template for update or adding?

I am so impressed with the navbar config thingy that Garvin and yellowled have worked on that I am currently updating all of my templates which use a navbar. This means that all zipfiles on my site will be updated. I'll update this thread when that is done.

Hi Carl!

Okay, that'S fine, just let me know when you are finished, and I will update all files in spartacus. It would be nice if you can give me a heads-up when you publish updates, and I will gladly commit them for you to spartacus.

Adding a submission form would be not so good, it would require a lot of coding and in the end I would only post it for you (because other users might abuse this upload possibility), and then I can do the upload for you without the coding more easily.

BTW, Carl, if possible could you upload your files with UNIX (\n) line endings? That goes better with CVS. :-) I saw that some of your files are in Windows (\r\n) format, and I have to convert those first before uploading to spartacus.

Many thanks for your work,
Garvin

I have updated the new andreas09 and the following templates 1024px, andreas06, andreas08, artistic, be-nice, ceejay01, soccer2006, and softened cells to work with the code written by Yellowled and Garvin that allows a configurable number of navbar links. All templates can be found on my templates page

Garvin, all of the templates mentioned above have been converted to unix newlines, and can all be updated on Spartacus if you have the time.

Hi Carl!

Would you maybe be able to provide me one single ZIP with all the updated templates? Would make things much easier on my end. If that'S not possible, I'll download all the themes seperately. :)

Best regards,
Garvin

Carl, can you again assist me in changing the english phrase "no comments yet, be the first!" to a german one? Which file was it?

Hi Harald, I thought I had included that in lang_de.inc.php within the template folder, I hope I haven't screwed up.

Ah, I just checked, in the german lang file, you need to edit this;

Code: Select all

@define('BE_FIRST_TO_COMMENT', 'Keine Kommentare');
I remember someone (possible one of the Austrian members) mentioning a long time ago that 'no comments yet, be the first' is an English expression that didn't translate well into German, if you have an alternative expression you think I should use please let me know.

Cheers

Carl, i already have this line in my german config file...

(in /templates/anderas09/lang_de.inc.php)

I also tried to add this line to /lang/serendipity_lang_de.inc.php but still no change...

Regards, Harald

edit: i had to edit the language file in the LANG/UTF8 directory - now it works!
