LJ import issue
LJ import issue
I did an export of my old LJ to XML and started importing them this afternoon. The imports went perfectly fine but then I realized I had just imported them into my Serendipity blog AND back into my LJ again. I also have the plugin installed that makes double posts of my Serendipity posts into my LJ when I make them. Well apparently having it installed makes the importer put them in Serendipity and then back into my LJ with todays date as the post time.

Re: LJ import issue
Hi!
Yes, sadly this is due to the concept of how the LJ posting plugin works: It hooks into the routine that saves an entry.
An import also "saves an entry", so it is dual posted. Actually, some people even wanted this. So the route you should have went is to disable the LJ posting plugin before import. *g*
Best regards,
Garvin
