POPfetch automatically attempting trackbacks? (Do not want!)

Post by pharaoh »

How can I disable POPfetch's attempts to trackback/pingback/whatever it is when it's checking for and posting email? I would like the trackback feature completely disabled on my blog. Most of my posts include MANY (hundreds) of links, and it seems as though POPFetch is attempting to do trackbacks when it's not necessary. In fact, I'm getting page timeouts when I manually perform a popfetch.

I have taken the steps to remove 'trackback' from the entries.tpl page, but this is different. The popfetch process is taking it upon itself to trackback to other urls contained in the message I've posted by email, and there is no option (that I can find) to disable this.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi!

The approach to remove trackbacks from entries.tpl only removes the display of trackbacks.

To disable them alltogether, follow this:

doh! *slap head*

I had read that section, and while I did update the config file, I must have forgotten to upload it.

Thanks very much!
