SMTP AUTH config?

Post by chamb1 »

could anyone give me a hint as to get SMTP with AUTH configured? my SMTP server is not local and requires AUTH and a different port...

I have mucked around with serendipity_config_local.inc.php but haven't succeeded in getting auth to work...

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

Serendipity just relies on the "SMTP" provided by PHPs mail() function. Thus, all you can configure is outside the scope of Serendipity and is configured directly in your SMTP server or the PHP sendmail integration.

You might need to go to general PHP forums or SMTP server support forums to get a relevant answer to thos?

Best regards,
