Error with trackbacks to URL with "üöä"

Hello,

after posting an entry my blogs checks trackbacks to sites. I had a link to http://www.günstige-kredite-darlehen-online.de and got a strange errormessage. Unfortunately i did not noticed the message. If it helps, i can do the entry a second time.

Yes, serendipity's trackback engine uses the PEAR:File_Request class, which is not aware of Umlaut-Domains aka PunyCode.

It might get implemented in future PHP versions, or in versions of the PEAR plugin.

Until then, you should use the "real" punycode URL in your entries:
