Not yet clear on RSS

From what I have been reading, RSS, other than an under the hood search engine for blogs, really only matters to those using an RSS READER. Is that correct?

When MS says VISTA will have RSS embeded on the desktop, does that mean a RSS reader is embeded with it?

I installed something called FIREBURNER, it seems to be something that takes all the other syndication RSS feeds and puts them into one.
Is that right? Can you then delete the list of other RSS feeds?

I would like to get those syndication feed from Serendipity to my website. Is that possible? If not, how do I get the list of RSS feeds into Frontpage or on my website?

We should have spent our time inventing youtube! In 18 months those guys went from SQUAT to $1.6 billion... Gosh... GEE!

Pretty much, but it is also used by some mobile devices (mobile phones) instead of reading the actual page, simply because the rss feed is the actual data without all the template stuff and images to go along with it.

As for how to get it into frontpage, or your website, if they can read an rss feed then there is no problem. Can't speak for frontpage since I don't use it, but your website should happily take an rss feed and display it, but you will need a script to do this. Your could use a small php script and simply integrate it into your site page, or why not google for a javascript rss reader, add the code to your page and let your visitors browser do the work for you. Somewhere you will find what you're looking for.

We also have an "RSS Aggregator" plugin, which allows you to treat RSS feeds from other sources as part of your blog.
