time setting

Post by Ming Han »

Hello,

lets say I have the scripts installed on a server in western europe, how do I modify the time (in the scripts) so that it can have the correct GMT ? eg Asia.

Thanks

In Serendipity 0.8 we have introduced a 'server offset time' configuration variable

You can set the timezone difference there.

I am using 0.71 and it would be very troublesome for me to upload everything and reconfig again once more..

Is there a simple tweak to get the problem solve?

No, there's no way for 0.7.1. There is quite a lot of code affected which I'm not willing to backport.

Upgrading to 0.8 is really not that hard, you shouldn't face any problems upgrading...
