[consider solved] Template Header/Logo Image

Post by xiaoxue »

Name Template Header/Logo Image
Description Switch header image or logo for templates

Image
Either specify an image to use, or put in the name of a directory (with trailing slash!) and the plugin will shuffle a .jpg/.jpeg/.png/.gif image inside that directory.

I dont really get what it means how do i enter the url. just /http://www.imge.com/123/234/jpg or something else!!

sorry im noob ~_~

This plugin allows you to switch your header image without modifying your template.

The image needs to be on your server. I don't think[/u] it works with URLs, just paths. If you put the image in a directory off your Serendipity dir, you can use a relative path, like "images/headers/joshua/myheader.jpg".

The plugin can also randomize images, if you point it to a directory instead of a file. Just upload them to your server and use a path with a trailing slash, like "images/headers/". Every time your page is loaded, a header image will be randomly chosen from all the images in that directory.

The other confusing thing is the template selector. Almost all Serendipity templates name their header div in one of three ways: like Kubrick, like Joshua, or like the default template. Pick the one that matches your template. If it doesn't work, try another one; it's very likely that one of them will work correctly.

Good luck!

hi sorry i got to ask question again on this plugin.

I think im very stupid i dont know how to make it work.

I give a small info about my page.

my ftp path is like this /home/xiaoxue/public_html/ser

I install serendipity in a folder call ser so the patt is something like
http://www.yoururl.com/ser

Im using the templete skin call bex02

I have made a logo and put in a folder call tem. I put the tem folder into bex02 so path way is something like htt://www.yoururl.com/ser/templates/bex02/tem/logo.gif

so i was wondering the pathway for the image should be like how? im getting confuse with it.

should i enter /templates/bex02/tem/logo.gif

or

/home/xiaoxue/public_html/ser/templates/bex02/tem/logo.gif

>.<

thanks

Hi!

The easiest way for you would be to just try out the two options. :)

"/ser/templates/bex02/tem/logo.gif" should be correct :)
