Serendipity not displaying properly

I have recently installed WAMP and installed Serendipty with no apparent erros.The serendipity site displays properly on the localhost but when I go to remote clients everything is missing essentially - it displaysthe page but without CSS or other items. When looking further it appears the local client is trying to pullfrom C: instead of URL - URL rewriting is offbut stillhaving the issue. Mambo on the same setup works fine...just serendipity. Any help is greatly appreciated

Hi!

Urls like "C:..." usually indicate a bad s9y setup. Can you enter the admin interface and check that all path information there is made so that no "C:" happens?

Or tell us what the paths are currently set to?

You definitely need to use a domain name or IP for the HTTP paths instead of using "localhost" anywhere. You might even want to enable the "Autodetect HTTP-HosT" option to automagically try to set the right hostname.
