ATOM API Plugin?

Post by pischla »

Hello, just wondering if there's a atom posting plugin for Serendipity? I have a Nokia cellphone with lifeblog software and want to update my blog through the phone not using e-mail.

Here's a link to Nokia's Lifeblog posting protocol specs:

Hi!

Sadly I know of no atom posting plugin yet. But we have an XML-RPC MT and metaWeblog API?

Best regards,
Garvin

Hi!

I don't know lifeblog, does it support MT or metaWeblog XML-RPC API?

Best regards,
Garvin

This is what I got from the document I linked to in the first post:

Relevant to this document, Nokia has chosen and supports Atom as a blogging protocol. In addition to enabling posting via Atom from Lifeblog 1.5 on the PC and mobile, Nokia is working with blogging companies, such as Six Apart, and the Atom community to enhance the mobile aspects the Atom API.

This document is offered as an aid to those wishing to use Lifeblog to post to their web servers. It outlines the posting protocol, as used by Lifeblog, including any special elements and tips for the server-side actions. It is offered in good faith, with the understanding that inaccuracies or omissions in the document were unintentional and that the Atom 1.0 specifications are still not finalized.

Hi!

Okay, it seems that lifeblog then doesn't support other APIs.

So, someone would need to get down to implement the ATOM API into s9y; it would be similar to the XML-RPC posting plugin. :-)

Best regards,
Garvin

Ok, I'll just dig in to it then. :) Expect a new plugin within five years.

Just kidding have no experience what so ever with php or xml. Would be glad to hand over this task to someone knowledgeable.

This post is 3 years old. At the moment I am interested in an Atom Posting Plugin, too. Anybody in the meantime had the time to implement it? :)
