NOOB Question on changing installation directory

Post by naja »

I've installed via a one-click install offered by my hosting provider (godaddy.com). It installed fine, and installed to the default www.url.com/serendipity/ directory. I'm really wanting it located in www.myurl.com/

Should I just reinstall and if so can I change the default install directory by uploading the install files via FTP and running the install myself? Or is there a simpler option?

Many thanks for any suggestions...

1st MAKE A BACKUP

- move your files on the public_html [root directory]

- go in your database table: serendipity_config and modify serendipityPath and baseURL

i think this would solve your problem
