huge big icons

Post by guidol »

I was just wondering if anyone has experienced the following:
Sometimes, not always, some of the images like emoticons or the serendipity logo on the sidebar or the edit icons on the admin pages appear much larger than they should be.
I'd like to add a screenshot but now I can't get it reproduced...

What can be causing this?

I hate the not-always problems.

We did see something like this once; it turned out that the theme specified an absolute width for images. Either that, or it was an IE-specific problem that was fixed in CSS.

I'd recommend a forum search (sorry, I'm so busy, I've got to get home!).

I do not know if it is like my problem, but sometimes I get this here in the forum: (using Opera)

Hi

I may be on the wrong track here but I seem to recall from a previous posting that this may be .png behaviour issue that can occur if the browser compatiblity plugin is used.

I've seen that happen to the Serendipity logo on other people's blogs. I thought it was IE-specific. I can't find anything on the forum, though.

I will turn off the browser compatibility plugin for a while to see if it helps... I'll let you know the outcome of this little experiment here.
