Hi!
I'd like to configure the newsbox plugin with four nested newsboxes (for four categories).
Does that mean I have to install that plugin five times? It seems like I can only configure one newsbox with one plugin...or maybe I've created the newsboxes in the wrong order? I don't know. Who can help me out?

Re: Newsbox
Hi!
If you use that function so often, it might be preferable if you just edit your template and make use of the convenience smarty functions like {serendipity_fetchPrintEntries}. More in the technical docs on www.s9y.org.
(Can't help you with newsbox though, never used it. But I believe it's also quite flexible. Judebert might drop by to help you out on this one
)
Best regards,
Garvin

Sorry, I can't eat the menu. (Just joking)
Fetching entries is not the problem as long as I only use one newsbox with 'categories', but I want four newsboxes nested in another thus forcing them to appear in two columns - just the way Jude did (with two in a third) on her blog.
I've already sent her an email but she seems to be quite busy, in the meantime I thought somebody here in the forum might help me out.

Okay, I've found out that I had to install five newsboxes in deed, four for the categories and the fifth to nest them in.
Ooops. Wrong. I had to create the newsbox for the nested newsboxes first, otherwise the other four couldn't be placed there (in the 'Placement' menu).
All is fine now, except those large grey 'More...' buttons, they really don't look good on my blog.

Busy, busy, busy.
Yup, you'll need five newsboxes total: four for the sections you want, followed by one "container" to hold them all. In the plugin configuration, set the newsbox container to hold "newsboxes". Set the other newsboxes to hold "categories" and select the categories you want (multiple selection is allowed with ctrl or shift). Finally, for Placement, choose the container newsbox.
Voila!
