Digg, Delicious, etc Plugin problem

Post by TKS »

Take a look at: http://linux-blog.org/index.php?/categories/3-Rants

Roll down to the Dec 17th entry. Notice how the digg symbols parse into the next article?

I was wondering if there was something I could alter to repair this so it didn't appear at the head of the next article.

Still wondering on this...not sure where the plugin enters into the html of the page...if I can find this, I'll be able to alter it and release it back to the developers as a fix...but I'm lost as to where it is at.

Hi!

Are you using IE? IE has a couple of CSS bugs that would cause this behaviour, so you'd need to look into your CSS code and might need to set some position:relative things and so on...

I also ran into this. I'm still trying to fix it. It only happens on some themes. I think it's got something to do with the fact that the Digg counter gets displayed in an iframe.

TKS, just visited your site, and it looks consistent for all articles in both IE and FF. How'd you solve it?

TKS: Have you tried the new version of the plugin? I've added an option to display the Digg stuff before the findmore icons. Let me know if that solved it for you.

I'm also working on a new version that actually uses a .tpl file to draw the Digg info, but at the moment you it only shows information from Digg. It doesn't allow you to Digg! an entry.

If you want to install the new version and do some testing, let me know. :)
