I have no idea what I'm doing.

The installation docs provided on this website tell me that I must "upload serendipity to my webserver." Do they mean absoluty every file in the zip? That is what I'm doing presently via an ftp client (as to eliminate the need to upload every file by hand) and it is still taking hours.

Does every file need to be uploaded?

Ok it's all uploaded. After I changed the 3 dir rights to 775 as well as the root /serendipity dir to 775, I tried pulling up url/serendipity/index.php and I got an error 404. Annddd yet, the file is uploaded to the appropriate area.

Help.

Hi!

If you get an error 404 it means you are trying to access a file that is not there!

For installation, s9y tries to redirect to the "serendipity_admin.php" file. Is this existing?

What exact URL is giving you a 404?

Best regards,
Garvin
