Can't install phpBB because of Serendipity...help!

Quick question...I am trying to install phpBB2 on my web server as well...I installed it to its own directory (/phpbb2/) but whenever I go there to run the install (though my web browser) it just automatically takes me straight to my main weblog, which obviously isn't in that directory...

Any help would be appreciated...

And how do I add more links/content to the sidebar? Thanks...

What does your .htaccess file in the root directory look like? You may need to tell Serendipity to use "None" as URL Rewriting, so it won't redirect anywhere.

The suggested method is to not put Serendipity in the base root of your server, but into a subdirectory, so that other applications can be installed easily as well.

You can add more links/content to the sidebar via Plugin Configuration and adding plugins there.

Is there a particular command to write into the .htaccess file to have "None" for URL Rewriting...I don't see anything related to that currently...

Just enter Serendipity Configuration, set URL Rewriting to "none". The .htaccess file will then be automatically regenereated (and it will be unneccessary then)
