newbie with what i think is an easy question

Im real new to seredipity so new i just installed and configured it to my liking but i have a few minor changes i want to make. Below the blog name im wanting to put a few links just like i have on the rest of my site plus i want to put the same links across the bottom of my blog , links like, home,forums ect . What files do i need to be editiing to insert these links and is it html or what that im going to have to put them in as? Any examples would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!

You can do that easily using HTML/Smarty by editing your template's "index.tpl" file. If your template has no such file, copy it over from templates/default/index.tpl

Look for "serendipity_Banner" and put your links below that.
