Nasty little problem -- Need serious help

Post by Blake_Ivey »

Well, I was in a rush to get a server installed and I eventually got a permission changed along the way. I had to reinstall Mandrake. I couldn't back anything up properly, but it seems my serendipity database is just fine. The problem is when you go to my site (see my sig below) I get a few errors, and some colors seem to be off. My question is:

Is there a way to reinstall serendipity using an older database (like my backup copy)? If so, could you give me pretty detailed instructions on what to do?

Thanks

Alright...I got my blog up and running. I just bit the bullet and entered all my old settings and the database was fine...all my posts are still there. Now I am getting the error:

Warning: dl(): Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib/php/extensions/xml.so' - /usr/lib/php/extensions/xml.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in /var/www/html/bivey/bundled-libs/XML/RPC.php on line 31

so I guess ill look for that solution...

fixed. Just a side note...Mandrake now has its on little extensions via /etc/php.d/extensions. You don't edit the php.ini anymore (for extensions). And if you try downloading the file:

ftp://linux.inrialpes.fr/linux/Mandrake ... k.i586.rpm

Make sure its in IE or it wont download (at least with Firefox).
