Blank page after FTP upload

Hi,

I have uploaded all files via FTP but I receive a blank page on loading index.php so I cannot even start install...

I have tried to FTP 3 times but no success. Any suggestion?

As well I don't have any "archives" folder in zip file I have downloaded. It is normal or it will be created after a proper installation?

Blank pages usually indicate a PHP / server error. (Although there may be something different, considering it's the install page.) Can you get your provider to send you the apache and/or PHP error logs?

Additionally, check that the index.php was uploaded in ASCII mode, and that its permissions are 755, and that it's owned by the appropriate user.
