Script for importing from PHP-Update to S9Y

Post by fuzzy76 »

This is a small hack, and does require some knowledge of MySQL and databases. It outputs the SQL for inserting your PHP-Update blog, comments and guestbook into a fresh Serendipity install.

Use at own risk, do not expect much support. If anyone would like to make a real importer for PHP-Update based on this, feel free to do so. :)

Hi!

Thanks for this pointer, it might definitely help people!

On a related sidenote, we are currently trying to get in touch with other blog developers (TextPattern) do think of a unified XML blog export that can be used not only to migrate s9y installations but also to migrate from and to other blog applications. It might take some time to implementation, but it's a route we'd like to go.

Best regards,
Garvin
