1.1 admin ural do not work in IE

Post by emwede »

Hi,

the below is one example of the links I get when using ie6 and the s9y 1.1 admin interface.

http://...myurl.url.../serendipity_admin.php?serendipity[adminModule]=entries&serendipity[adminAction]=new

ie then gives me errors saying "

============================================
Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet Site ... url_as_above ..."

Operation abortet
============================================

The same urls with the [] brackets don't give me any problems in Firefox.

Not shure if this is a bug or a feature ;-)

Hi!

There are some webservers that block [] in URLs. Which kind of webserver do you use? Can you check with your admin, please?

Best regards,
Garvin

Hi Garvin

I'm my own admin and I'm using Apache 2.x I'm not ware of blocking any chars in urls.

BUT how does that matter. If the *server* would be involved in blocking why does firefox BROWSER work and IE BROWSER does not?

I did not realy understand what you mean

Thanks
Michael

Hi!

Okay, since you didn't tell me that other browsers work, the issue I thought that would happen is less likely now.

How does your IE configuration differ from your Firefox one? Are you maybe using a Proxy in the one browser but not the other?

Can you please make a screenshot of the IE error and how the same page/URL looks in firefox? Use a free service like imageshack.us to post your screenshot...?

Best regards,
Garvin
