This is amazing - admin suite disappeared

Post by jwc »

I was playing around with admin and all of a sudden on a browser refresh the admin panel has the banner, a welcome back message, a few other things and that's it. This is the same for Mozilla or IE and login/log out, etc.

Hi!

This can happen if you withdrew yourself admin privileges. Either you changed your userlevel, enabled the "No right to create entries" personal config item or you left all usergroups that are required for admin access.

To restore it, follow this advice:

Garvin - thanks for the reply :D

Apparently I only have a GUI interface for MySQL admin (phpmyadmin) and it appears that your fix for restoring permissions is based on a command-line interface to the database.

Can you either tell me:

-how to apply your fix via the GUI interface
-or how to access a command-line MySQL interface

I realize that this is not a problem of s9y but my ignorance of MySQL, so I apologize for that.

I'm not an expert, but have you tried hitting the button "SQL" in the header of your database? Somewhere around "Structure" ... "Search" ?

Click on it and paste the code into the appearing box. Thats what i would do ;) You can do it with PHPmyAdmin
