plugin load errors

Post by CWD »

This is a fresh install.

In "Configure Plugins" when "click here to install a new event plugin" is clicked I get a long string of machine output at the top of the page that ends with these two errors:

Error: serendipity_event_bbcode Error: serendipity_event_spartacus

These two event plugins are not available in the list of configurable plugins, therefore I cannot install the Spartacus plugin to get the rest of what is available!

I have installed the same version of this blog on another website and had no problems whatsoever with this. I already made sure the plugins folder is chmod 777.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Can you show us some of that long error message? Without it, we can only guess. I might think it's a database error, while Garvin might think it's a corrupted download, and Jannis might think something entirely different.

Sorry; with an error message I might be more useful.

Thanks for the reply Judebert, much appreciated.

I found the problem a little while ago and just had not gotten up here yet to post that it was resolved.

It was file corruption somewhere in those two plugin folders. I deleted them both, then re-uploaded new copies and all was well. I usually upload that type of stuff with FTP but allowed FrontPage to do it when installing this blog, not again!
