[SOLVED] Empty sidebar entry after plug-in uninstallation

Post by Keilaron0 »

First off, the S9Y installation in question:

As you can see, the sixth sidebar entry is just blank. If this were the only problem, I might not be so concerned, but naturally it just *has* to interfere with something (The sidebar visibility plug-in.).
This occured somewhere between uninstalling and upgrading plug-ins. I'm not entirely certain which one used to be there, though I believe it was ToDo/Project-List (serendipity_event_todolist).
The questions I have are:
1. Naturally, how do I get rid of this properly?
2. Is there any known reason for this kind of bug?

It looks like it came from the Event Wrapper plugin. Maybe you uninstalled the event plugin it was wrapping, and now it doesn't know what to do. Is it still listed in Admin?

You can remove it by taking it out of the database, but I wouldn't recommend modifying the database directly without Garvin's assistance. Besides, some plugins have uninstall scripts that aren't triggered when you remove them that way.

Yes, it was the event wrapper. Thanks :)
