Problem with "german" admin-name

Hello,

i've installed a new blog and the admin username is "Günther".

After the installation i was not able to log into the blog. I then changed the username from "Günther" to "Guenther" and it worked. So i guess, that Serendipity cannot handle admin usernames with special characters.

Just wanted to let you know. Maybe it was my fault, but the admin name IS Günther

Yes, sadly this is still a bug we're working on:

It works if you change the username AFTER installation, but UTF-8 chars DURING installation will get corrupted.
