Could you please post the latest nightly 1.1 in other than &%%¤¤# tar balls? zip it or anything, the free Extractnow doesn't do tar, and I have to download a beta of winrar every time!

Use 7-ZIP, the best free unzipper/untarrer around.
Tarballs are much better because they preserve permissions and file types/links, which ZIP doesn't do properly.
