I am just starting to play around with Serendipity and have installed version 1.0 Beta2
I want to create sub categories that have the same name, but are unrelated. Is this possible?
For example I want
Software
- Installation
- Configuration
Hardware
- Installation
- Configuration
as my categories. What do I need to change or are the categories required to have unique values? (Wordpress will let me do what I want)
Thanks

Re: Unique Categories
Hi!
This behaviour has been changed in the 1.1 nightly code a few weeks ago, but not been backported to 1.0.
You can basically change it very easily by editing your include/admin/category.inc.php file and apply these changes:
http://svn.berlios.de/viewcvs/serendipi ... 944&r2=965
http://svn.berlios.de/viewcvs/serendipi ... 776&r2=944
